Designed for Entertaining: A Traditional Kitchen Remodel in Verona, WI
Challenge
These retired empty nesters were ready to part with their small, confined kitchen that had served their family for years; to be replaced with a newly remodeled kitchen that would give them plenty of room to cook together and entertain large groups of people.
Solution
Sweeney designed an open floor plan that started with removing a load-bearing wall to the formal dining room. We replaced the dinette table with a larger island and finished off the space with beautiful marble granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and light-colored Woodhaven by Woodmode cabinetry. To create a seamless flow from one room to the next, rich, striking custom wood flooring was laid throughout the new space.
Result
A kitchen worthy of praise (also the heart of their home), our clients now prefer to congregate in their stylish new kitchen, with plenty of room to cook and entertain—a place to serve delicious hors d’oeuvres and celebrate life in general.
