“This past fall, I contracted with Sweeney Design Remodel to do two projects at my home. One was replacement of the large five-light window in the living room over the garage. The other was to replace the iron railings by my entry stairs with new cable and wood railings and replace the carpeting on the stairs and lay hardwood flooring at the head of the stairs and down the hall. These projects are now complete.
I write because I want you to know first that the two young men who were overseers of these projects did an exemplary job. I was impressed initially by the ground work before anything was done. Individuals from each of the disciplines involved in this project were brought together at my home so they could confer with each other about what was to be done and in what sequence so that the projects would run smoothly. Second, when the first of these two young men moved on to his own business, he was replaced with another who saw the projects to completion. Both of these guys were not only knowledgeable and efficient, they were wonderfully thoughtful and caring which brought me back to my earliest experiences working with you, because that kind of thoughtfulness and caring has kept me coming back to Sweeney.
Ryan is a very special person and an excellent craftsman, if one is to judge by the wooden hand rails on the stairs. He worked so hard on this to make it perfect….and it is. He is so conscientious, caring not only about the big things but the small ones. The project ran right up to Christmas which was a bit frustrating but made the less so because he truly cared and did his best to make things right for me. He even helped me assemble my new Moravian star which hangs above my front door!
The project is a testament to the quality work of Sweeney Design Remodel!”

Starting with Jeff Darga coming in to get our wants/needs taken care of and getting everything lined up. Jeff is a very pleasant man with a lot of knowledge. He is always pleasant no matter how seemingly unfamiliar some of our Board ladies are with how the work is timed, planned, and executed. Jeff keeps smiling and gently lets them know the facts.
Moving on to Pat and Pete, the small but mighty team we have now. They have been absolutely amazing. The work on the columns is moving along. They removed the old and it went well for the two of them. When it came time to install the new I thought here come the crews! Then I find out it’s only Pat and Pete…how are these two guys going to do this without more people? Well, they thought things out, investigated things, and came up with quite a plan. I have almost had a few coronary attacks along the way but they are amazing, doing things very safely, and made it through the intense heat last week. I just can’t say enough as to how happy and amazed I have been with their genius ideas and hard work.
Rich…his oversight of the project and dealing with the delivery of the columns has been wonderful.
Matt, who I know is now on his own, came to us through his time with you. He started here very young working alongside his dad. They did amazing things here together. He has put his heart and soul into our building and I know he will always do a good job here as he loves this house.
I have been with AXO for 32 years and I look forward to the summer to work with the Sweeney group as they are all like family here. I know I can trust everyone that comes in to do a great job, and they “look out for me” if I have any problems. I know if Jeff has someone come here they are a good worker and they are trustworthy.
