As part of a full interior remodel, these homeowners set out to transform their dated primary bathroom into a luxurious, spa-like retreat. The original layout was inefficient, and the finishes felt out of step with the home’s refined Craftsman style. To improve flow and functionality, two small bedrooms were reimagined as a spacious walk-in closet, making room for a beautifully connected ensuite that blends comfort, style, and practicality.
DESIGN SOLUTION
Our design team transformed the existing space into a stunning wetroom by combining the clawfoot tub and open shower into one seamless layout—making it both practical and beautiful. Bright white subway tile wraps the walls for a classic, airy feel, while a patterned mosaic floor brings in texture and elegance. Custom cabinetry keeps everything organized, paired with polished nickel fixtures and crystal knobs that add vintage charm. The expanded layout made room for a spacious walk-in closet right off the ensuite, and we added a dedicated vanity with sconce lighting and a plush stool for that perfect, spa-like touch.
RESULT
The completed primary suite perfectly balances modern convenience with classic craftsmanship. The open wetroom design makes the bathroom feel larger and more connected. At the same time, the freestanding clawfoot tub and dual shower heads offer a true luxury bathing experience. The newly added walk-in closet provides ample, organized storage, making daily routines more efficient. Thoughtful details—from the integrated shower niches to the coordinated lighting—enhance both function and beauty. The result is a serene, sophisticated ensuite retreat that aligns seamlessly with the rest of the home’s design.
