Jeff’s love for craftsmanship started as a teenager in high school, when he earned money doing carpentry work after school—anything from concrete to roofing. Even though he majored in political science and geography in college, his love for the traditional craft of carpentry remained. He became emboldened to embrace the craft, forever in his blood.   

As a National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) Certified Remodeler Universal Design Certified Professional, and an experienced real estate agent, Jeff comes with the technical knowledge and industry expertise that is not only sought after in the construction industry, but unique to his position. He thrives on personal interaction with clients, diving into the details of every project hands-on, making sure things get done—the right way. With his extensive experience in the field, Jeff always delivers clear and precise estimates. Keeping surprises at bay, Jeff also ensures that you stay informed about what is going on throughout your entire remodel.

Classmates in high school, Tim hired Jeff in 1984. He worked for Sweeney seven years before moving out of the area and coming back to the company in 2003. What brought Jeff back to his ‘Sweeney work family’? The  shared values of open and honest communication, reliability and commitment to superior quality work.

Jeff’s love and attention is not only bestowed on Sweeney clients, but also on his farmette and rental properties. And, who can resist his passion (as an active volunteer) for Hammer with a Heart, a wonderful organization that provides free major home repairs to lower-income homeowners.

Married to ‘the love of his life’ since 1989, Jeff and his wife were blessed with a daughter in 1994. In addition to spending time with his family, Jeff enjoys being outdoors in his spare time – in his outbuildings working on woodworking projects or fishing at his cabin by the Mississippi River.
