Lead Carpenter/Workshop Manager
With a rich history in construction dating back to his teenage years, David discovered his passion for carpentry early in life while working alongside his father. This calling became a lifelong commitment, leading him to successfully complete the Construction and Remodeling program at Madison Area Technical College in 2012.
Upon graduation, David seamlessly transitioned into the industry, dedicating over a decade to Finish Carpentry with a local company specializing in new developments. Now, at Sweeney, he brings his expertise to residential remodeling, a realm that captivates his keen interest.
David’s credentials include DHS Lead Certification, OSHA Certification, and a Construction & Remodeling Technical Diploma. In his role as Workshop Manager at Sweeney, he adeptly handles demolition, trim carpentry, framing, and steel framing. He is also responsible for ordering and maintaining all materials.
His renowned Finish Carpentry skills, showcasing meticulous work in interior installations like doors, windows, base, cabinets, crown molding, post & balusters, are a testament to his attention to detail.
Beyond his professional achievements, David extends his knowledge as a part-time instructor at Madison College, imparting invaluable insights to aspiring professionals. He enjoys sharing his wealth of field experience with students, inspiring them to explore the possibilities these skills offer.
Outside of the workshop and classroom, David finds joy in road trips and various outdoor activities with his family, rounding out his well-rounded and accomplished life.
